How to make beautiful makeup for those who wear Glasses
How to properly apply makeup if you wear glasses? Here are some tips to make sure your makeup and glasses match perfectly.
Apply less foundation
One of the most common problems is the dents, red marks and abrasions that soft eyeglass pads leave on the bridge of your nose. Obviously, the thicker the foundation layer, the more noticeable the dents will be.
Girl in glasses
So when you apply foundation, try to make a very thin layer on the nose, and in those places where you need a denser coverage, apply concealer. Also, try to use a matte foundation or powder on your nose so that the glasses do not slip on the bridge of your nose.
Pay special attention to the eyebrows
Depending on the frame, your eyebrows can be more or less prominent. If the frames are thin, dainty, and more rounded, the brows will be accentuated, so it’s worth taking a little more time to keep them neat and tidy. If the frames are thicker and more rectangular, don’t spend a lot of time on your eyebrows as they won’t be visible.
Remember that if your lenses increase the area around the eyes, then the regrowth of the eyebrows will be more noticeable, so keep tweezers handy to pluck out excess hair.
Use eyeliner and eyeshadow
A win-win way to emphasize the eyes is eyeliner. Whether you’re drawing a subtle line between your lashes to create the illusion of extra volume, or accentuating your almond shape with a beautifully shaped eyeliner, the rules for matching eyeliner to your lenses are the same.
If you’re worried that your lenses are making your eyes look too big and want to avoid popping, line your eyes with a darker, more smoky liner, especially around the eyeline. If the glasses make your eyes look smaller, widen them with light eyeliner along the wet line of the lower eyelid and a beautiful arrow above the upper lashes. Stick to lighter shades (such as champagne or pale brown pastels), maybe even a little more shimmer.
Another trick is to choose the thickness of the eyeliner in accordance with the thickness of the frame. On thin frames, the eyeliner should be thinner, and if the frame is larger, a little thicker.
Curl your eyelashes
When it comes to lashes or extensions, prioritize lash curl over length. This gives the effect of long and voluminous lashes without your lashes touching the glass every time you blink.
If your lashes are already long enough, it may be worth switching to waterproof mascara when you wear glasses so the product won’t clump or smudge across your lenses throughout the day.
Use concealer
Glasses cast extra shadows around the eye area, and if you wear magnifying lenses, they further accentuate existing dark circles under the eyes and show all makeup imperfections. The ideal solution in the fight against shadows under the eyes is the use of a reflective concealer.
Concealer will hide imperfections, brighten the area around the eyes, smooth out wrinkles and give the skin a fresh, radiant tone.
Fight the fog
With the introduction of face masks into our daily lives, spectacle wearers are struggling with fogged lenses. Besides not being able to see, which is bad enough, fogged lenses also mean that no one can see you behind them. In addition, excess moisture can lead to smearing of eyeliner and runny mascara.
To avoid this, use an anti-fog eyeglass cleaner. Although not technically makeup, it is one of the essential steps in maintaining it throughout the day.
