History of Kashmir Day:

Kashmir is well known for its scenic beauty, Kashmir is located in the north side of the Indian subcontinent, bordered by the Himalayas. At the time of the partition of India, the region was handled by a prince who is under British rule. The state was divided into three and is nowadays it is under the  control of Indian forces (Jammu and Kashmir), Pakistan (Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan), and China (Aksai Chin).

This partition of Kashmir between India and Pakistan led to the enmity and it has become the reason of three wars between India and Pakistan over the region - in 1947, 1965 and 1999.

Pakistan considered the issue of the control of Kashmir as the main issue between India and Pakistan, which has led to the outbreak of three wars, so that Pakistan feels that it needs to allocate a large part of its national income to the military budget.

The day is marked by political rallies, speeches about Kashmiri’s Freedom. A human chain has been formed on the main road from Pakistan to Kashmir.
