All Saints’ Day 2022 in Hungary
In Hungary All Saints’ Day is celebrated on November 1. On this day there is officially national public holiday in the country.
This holiday was celebrated by Roman Catholics in the beginning but in Hungary Pope Boniface IV introduced this holiday for the first time at the beginning of the 7th century. The main purpose behind celebrating this day is just to commemorate all those saints who do not have their own holiday of All Saints’ Day 2022.
All Saints’ Day 2022 = 1 November 2022
On this day it is customary to visit the at the graves of relatives that’s why All Saints’ Day smoothly transitions into All Souls’ Day that is celebrated on November 2.
Most of the people also visit at cemeteries just to put the graves of their family members in order. People also lit candles at graves just to remember their dear ones. (All Saints’ Day 2022)
Many believers visit in Catholic churches to pray for the repose of the souls of deceased relatives and friends, and they often light candles in churches to show solidarity with the deceased person.
