What is Wave Motion in Physics

Wave Motion in Physics

Wave motion is a form of disturbance, which travels through a medium due to periodic motion of particles of the medium about their mean position.

Experiment

We see that if we dip a pencil mm a top of water and take it out a pronounced circular ripple is set up on the water surface and travels towards the edges of the tab However if we dip the pencil and take it out many times, a number of ripples will be formed one after the other.

Waves can also be produced on very long ropes. If one end of the rope is fixed and the other end is given sudden up and down jerk, a pulse-shaped wave is fanned which travels along the rope.

Note: Students who replace the learning process with something that seems more interesting to them, act, mostly impulsively, fragmentarily. Now I just wanted one, and in five minutes another, attention constantly switches. As a result, the philosophy of “I like it – I do not like it” is rooted in a person’s head, which is actually quite disastrous. A man with such a philosophy comes to work, even to the one where knowledge is not required, but suddenly he did not like something there. And here he, with the above-mentioned philosophy, immediately resigns and goes on to himself. A considerable number of people jumped all their life from place to place, never for a long time lingering. In any environment you can find such people, and usually they are privately or even publicly condemned. But how did it all start? With such a seemingly banal reluctance to learn. Perhaps now everyone understands, why it is from this cause that a list of the reasons for poor performance started. It is not only the most common, but also the most dangerous in the long run.
