Note: Clearly what we want, but it’s not always clear how to achieve this. Individual approach and all that, but I would like to make some “how to”, which is useful not only to us, but also to colleagues: Introduce the competitive element, when the advantage can only give an additional, albeit small, effort from the student; encourage participation in external events, when it is necessary “to protect the honor of the university”, etc. to advise good books that give knowledge and do not discourage reading (even despite the volume. “Megaprojects” are large projects, with understandable goals and tasks, which require a large number of man hours, different technologies, an almost endless process of refinement, optimization and improvement is possible. Such a large project is useful for the university: topics for publications and speeches at conferences; reserve for course and diploma papers; interest of students in the practical application of their work / knowledge. And for the learning process: students are offered a variety of tasks – the subtasks of the project – as control / course / diploma work; students get acquainted with the methodology of design / project / project management; a clear example of the decomposition of a large task into individual subtasks; subtasks can be implemented by different students / groups to create a competition; student, choosing from a variety of subtasks of one project, the most interesting for him, better self-fulfilling, more quickly finds “his vocation”; The need for interaction with other project participants develops communicative properties.
