Locomotion in Amoeba and Paramecium

Locomotion in Amoeba:

It moves with the help of pseudopodium. It changes its direction when a new pseudopodium begins from another point. Flow of protoplasm makes the pseudopodia.

Locomotion in Paramecium:

It moves with the help of cilia, which continuously beat against the water. The cilia move forward of backward like oars of boat. So it moves by the reaction of cilia.

Note: The curriculum of correspondence education provides for the passage of practice (at least pre-diploma). Students working on the profile, often pass it on the site of their work. In the last year, correspondence students, like students of other forms of education, pass state examinations, write and defend a diploma . The installation session is conducted for first-year students at the very beginning of the training. It can be called “fact-finding” – no examinations or tests at this time does not give up, students get acquainted with each other, with teachers, with subjects that will be studied in the first semester. Also at this time, a number of administrative issues are being resolved – such as the issuance of credits and student papers; a record in the university library and the receipt of textbooks; election or appointment of the elders and so on.
