What is Electrostatic Induction
When a charged body brought close to another uncharged body then other body gains same charge without any touch. This is called electrostatic induction.
Note: A new study examines the impact of genetic, hormonal and environmental factors on children’s risk of developing chronic diseases that are common in society. Researchers took umbilical cord blood samples from 54 infants at birth. The length of telomeres in the immune cells of newborns was analyzed. Then, the researchers examined the range of health and socio-demographic factors, including the level of maternal education, ethnicity, prenatal body mass index (BMI), the age of the mother and father, the sex of the child, the gestational age, weight and circumference of the head at birth. It turned out that the two factors are interrelated with the length of telomeres. The ends of the chromosomes are limited and protected by molecules, called telomeres. Telomeres can be compared to the “plastic tip”, and they repeat the DNA links at the ends of the chromosomes. Scientists from the University of Sydney in Australia have shown that in young children with short telomeres, the thickness of the walls of the arteries is increased, which is an early sign of vascular disease.
